Temple Health’s 3 full-service Emergency Departments provide comprehensive, high-quality care for people with medical emergencies, located at:

- Temple University Hospital – Episcopal Campus
- Temple University Hospital – Jeanes Campus
These departments combined treat hundreds of thousands of patients 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Temple University Hospital
The Emergency Department at Temple University Hospital is a Level-1 trauma center, the highest level possible. This means the department is prepared to treat any injury or condition, from common to rare, minor to life-threatening, at any time. Our ED is also one of the only Burn Centers at a Level-1 trauma center, meaning we take care of the most severe burn cases in the region.
The emergency department is staffed by nearly 50 board-certified emergency medicine physicians, has several dozen emergency medicine residents and can offer immediate access to every medical specialty within the hospital.
Researchers within the department have been awarded multiple grants for neurological critical care and emerging infectious disease.
Certified medical interpreters are available to provide translation for patients in our Emergency Department.
Temple University Hospital - Episcopal Campus
The Emergency Department at Temple University Hospital - Episcopal Campus treats patients with a wide range of injuries. The department is staffed by board-certified Temple doctors and specially trained nurses. If required, the department can provide patients with fast access to specialized doctors and services at Temple University Hospital.
The department also offers a Minor Care Center for the treatment of less serious illnesses and injuries. The center allows patients to be seen and treated quickly and is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., 7 days a week.
Certified medical interpreters are available to provide translation for patients in our Emergency Department and Minor Care Center.
Temple University Hospital – Jeanes Campus
The Emergency Department at Temple University Hospital - Jeanes Campus specializes in the acute care of patients. The department provides initial treatment for a broad spectrum of illnesses and injuries, some of which may be life-threatening and require immediate attention.
Within the department, specially trained physicians, nurses, technicians and staff provide patients with priority access to a variety of hospital services, including radiology, surgery and anesthesia, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
